Bryan Has Always Been Interested In Cars
Since He Was An Infant.
Growing up in Southern California only enhanced his interest over the years. At the
age of eight, Bryan would get on his bicycle, peal down the street to a home that a group of guys were working on a 1951
Ford Coupe, only to be told, "Go away little boy/four eyes/you're not supposed to be here". Wow,
what an introduction to the car world.
Bryan,
has always remembered that day and has pledged that kids are the future and are always welcome to ask questions
and be the star in his cars.
At the age of twelve
he was designing & building his own go-carts and mini -bikes, replacing gasoline with methnol for power.
He even built an attachment that allowed him to ride behind a lawn mower he had souped up.
At the age of
Fourteen he had acquired a 1915 Model "T" highboy, 1929 Model "A"
Delivery Sedan and a 1951 Willy's station wagon powered by an Oldsmobile V8 engine (He remembers
that the V8 engine in the Willy's was so heavy on the front leaf springs that they were actually arched the wrong way)!
Throughout Junior
High and High School Bryan was overwelmed with the desire to have a fast car that stood out to both the guys & girls.
He had the 1941 Willy's with a Olds V8 and hydro Trans, 1937 Dodge Coupe,
1951 Ford 2 Dr., 1937 Chevy Coupe (perfect stocker) that he paid $2.00
to a fellow classmate in auto shop to take home, 1951 Oldsmobile 4 Door that he used
for parts to complete a 1949 Yellow Oldsmobile 2 Dr. Coupe that he used to make extremely smokey
burn outs in front of his High School class rooms, 1951 Henry "J", 1955 Chevy
that he turned into the altered wheel base car pictured below and a 1957 Pink Oldsmobile 2 Dr. Convertible
Bryan's engineering & design efforts were soon noticed as he started
altering wheel bases, flipping the front ends & bodies of cars, modifying brake systems for unrestricted burn outs,
unique chassis & alumininum interior designs. After graduation from High School Bryan attended Pasadena City
College enrolling in their Aero-Mechanical Engineering Program. While attending PCC, Bryan was drafted into the military service
where he continued to expand his talents by modifying one of the motors on a tracked personnel carrier & a tank to
increase their speed & performance while serving overseas. After serving overseas in a special forces unit, he once
again got back into cars. Teaming up with Herrea & Sons, BB/A and Bishop &
Buehl Engineering (Arcadia, California) where they set a national record.
While continuing his love for cars he acquired a 1964 Chevelle SS, 1969 Nova SS
(396 / 375 hp), 1971 Nova, 1969 Camaro SS. Bryan finished PCC and transferred
to Cal Poly.
The 1969 Nova SS soon turned into the B/MP race car at the drag strip.
Shortly their after he designed & hand built the fiberglass front end on a 1971 Vega Wagon
- A/gas race car. This car not only won racing events it was featured in many magazines & auto
shows for it's innovated chassis design, looks & performance. Within a short period of time Bryan stepped up
to Pro Stock with his new partner Randy Hagerty
More currently in 2003 Bryan once again got the bug to design & build an extremely
radical show car. To say the very least "WOW". What came out of his mind was transferred to engineering &
design drawings and then to fabrication which he did. Bryan worked with two different shops who helped out on some
of the welding. (Centerline Welding - Anaheim, Ca and Dan McLeod - Anaheim, Ca). What he
had seen in his design dreams soon started taking shape as one of todays most famous & well known "Extreme
Machine". This project soon took on the name as the "METRO-NATOR" and soon became part of the Prolong Super Lubricants Extreme Team.
Now, See some of the pictures of Bryan's
cars from years past...
